Department Initiatives
The Department of Earth Sciences offers a wide variety of courses and programs. Students who wish to study in this department can find more information about the programs offered.
The Course Catalogue allows you to search by department and browse the courses available. Each course description includes important details such as the language of instruction, course duration, and the number of ECTS credits. Find the full list and check the degree programs taught in English.
Students who wish to attend a course that includes a practical component, such as laboratories, must complete a safety course upon their arrival in Turin. It is important to note that these courses are offered only in Italian, so a minimum level of B1 proficiency in Italian is required.
Each department and course of study has designated start and end dates for the academic year. Students are encouraged to check their specific course information to find the appropriate timetable.
The official start and end dates of the academic year are published on the University of Turin's official website.
The Earth Sciences Department offers a PhD program in Earth Sciences and is involved in the interdisciplinary PhD program, Technology Driven Sciences: Technologies for Cultural Heritage (Tech4Culture), which provides advanced research opportunities in geosciences and applied technologies.
